Electronic cigarettes future and the electronic industry in the UK should be a lot clearer within the next 18 months after recent news by the MHRA…

On “No Smoking Day”, 9^th March 2011, the MHRA revealed its findings of a consultation exercise billed as: MLX364 on the Regulation of Nicotine Containing Products or NCPs. What had been found and the viewpoint of which thus far seemed to be very interesting with health organizations, electronic cigarettes distributors and members of the public invited to take part.

The consensus of opinion was fairly clear. Electronic cigarettes and other NCPs should be regulated. What wasn’t quite so clear was just how this regulation should work. Electronic Cigarettes are a very new concept and at this moment in time it is inclear how regulation of electronic cigarettes could work.

Another 18 months of research and development is likely and hopefully going to go a long way in determining just how this electronic cigarettes industry might be regulated.

The decision certainly seems to be a sensible one with the current situation being so complex and so many uncertainties regarding what’s right and wrong.. It allows e cigarette distributors in the UK to plan their next moves and improve their product without fear of an imminent ban.

Electro Cigarettes strive to provide child proof packaging and show relevant safety warnings, making sure we are ready in all instances before any official regulation. We ask that any electronic companies not currently doing this to rethink and think of the future and safety of their customers.
